"Layers," a poem by Sarah Hasty Williams

Updated: Apr 6, 2021

Morning lies heavy on the mountains.

A dark veil begins to lift,

and I seek to lift

my own layers of darkness,

let light filter through woven dreams,

victories, defeats, and wounds. Bring light

and colour to the pattern they weave.
